BACKGROUND
Greg leads SW&L’s Family Law Practice Group. He helps people with adoptions, divorces, and custody matters.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Greg co-founded SW&L in 2013. Prior to that, Greg worked for and became a partner at a law firm located in Fargo, where he also practiced family law.
EDUCATION HISTORY
Greg earned a bachelor of arts degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. There he double majored in Psychology and Sociology.
After undergraduate school, Greg went to the University of North Dakota School of Law to attain his law degree. While attending the University of North Dakota School of Law, Greg was named to The Order of Barristers (for recognition of advocacy skills), was elected to the UND School of Law Moot Court Association, and graduated with distinction.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Greg grew up in rural Mahnomen County, Minnesota. While growing up, Greg had various unconventional jobs including leeching, working at a bee apiary, and working on a fishing boat in Alaska.
After graduating from law school, Greg married his high school sweetheart, Kristen. They have four children who keep them very busy. When Greg is not chasing after his children, he enjoys riding around in his 1978 Hammond boat.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Greg helped organize the SW&L Charitable Fund, which supports charitable causes throughout the region. Greg also volunteers his time and money to good causes throughout the region, including the Heart-n-Soul Community Cafe and the Special Olympics Golf Classic fundraiser.
