BACKGROUND
Hayley grew up on a family farm in rural Edinburg, ND. She works with Attorneys Adam Wogsland, Lee Grossman, and Jesse Maier in matters relating to wills, trusts, probates, business formations, business transactions, and civil disputes. Her passion includes making a positive impact on clients’ lives and helping attorneys with her knowledge of substantive and procedural law.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Hayley worked as a student clerk at the main headquarters of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of North Dakota under Assistant United States Attorneys, Paralegals, and Administrative Staff from 2019-2021. She completed a paralegal internship at Morley Law Firm, Ltd. in Grand Forks, North Dakota during the summer of 2021.
In the fall of 2022, Hayley earned her Certified Paralegal (CP) certification, which included passing a two-part exam. This certification is known as a professional standard for paralegals and acknowledged by the American Bar Association as a mark of excellence. It enables her to serve as an industry leader capable of contributing to SW&L Attorneys everyday.
EDUCATION HISTORY
Hayley attended North Dakota State University from 2014-2018 and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Hayley was named the 2017 NDSU College of Human Development and Education Outstanding Undergraduate Student. After student teaching and long-term substitute teaching at Oak Grove Lutheran School, she went back to higher education and completed the ABA-accredited paralegal program at Minnesota State University Moorhead, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2021. This enabled her to diversify her career options and pursue another path she has been interested in. During this time, she served as a legal research and writing tutor and earned The Molly Moore Award for Excellence in Writing.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Hayley was raised on a family farm in rural Edinburg, North Dakota. In her free time, she loves to check out local boutiques in Fargo, work on her sewing skills, play the violin, cook, travel, and spend quality time with family and friends. She also enjoys working out at Orangetheory Fitness and golfing at area courses.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Hayley serves as a South Region Co-Director for the Red River Valley Paralegal Association. Through this position, she organizes networking activities and participation in volunteering opportunities such as helping fill MannaPacks at the annual Feed My Starving Children event. Hayley also attends a bible study at the west campus of Triumph church and donates blood at Vitalant.
